I Like This 2008
A room of objects waited patiently in stasis for a purpose, a beginning. I Like This told the story of two men who embarked on an unusual creative project; to design an environment, attempt to make sense of it, and begin to control it. It was an exercise in absurdity, a display of our limited capacity to be able to genuinely communicate with one another, and our inability to control or understand our surroundings. I Like This was the first entry in Chunky Move's longstanding Next Move program, a series of performances created by the next generation of Australian dancemakers.
