Accumulation 2018

In 2018 the National Gallery of Victoria held its Triennial showcase of contemporary art from around the world, and for this internationally significant event Chunky Move collaborated with NGV to create an exclusive series of works in which dance engaged in dialogue with the works of the exhibition. Accumulation was an ambitious and acclaimed choreographic takeover of NGV Triennial. Curated by Chunky Move Artistic Director Anouk van Dijk, Accumulation presented five individual works created by choreographers including Van Dijk, Antony Hamilton, Thomas E.S. Kelly and Prue Lang in response to selected art works from the exhibition. Audiences were guided from performance to performance by artist Benjamin Hancock, giving them a unique experience of the Triennial exhibition through dance.
